Tongue tie is a band attaching the tongue’s underside to the floor of mouth.
Presence of a tongue tie can impair tongue mobility affecting breast feeding. If left untreated into childhood it will affect a tongue-tied baby’s ability to eat, speak and swallow.
Tongue tie can be treated with a surgical cut to release the band.
Tonsillectomy
Tonsils are lymphoid tissues present inside the oral cavity which help to fight infection. Recurrent infection of the tonsils can lead to sore throat, throat pain, fever, difficulty in swallowing, snoring.
Recurrent infection of tonsils mandates removal which can be done by various methods including cold instruments, coblation, electrocautery, laser etc.
Other indications of tonsillectomy include Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA), Tonsillar stones and Tonsillar Malignancies.

Common lesions include vocal nodules(singers nodules), cyst, polyp, cord palsy, edema, early/advanced cancers.
Vocal cord surgeries (microlaryngeal) are performed with the aid of a microscope with or without use of lasers.
